This is a great hands on activity to help students understand who a bill becomes a law. I usually show the BrainPop video on how a bill becomes a law first. Then I cut up the different steps, mix them up, and hand the steps to each group. Each group then has to put the steps in order. Note- not all groups will have the same steps since the President can sign off or reject a bill. After students have put the steps in order they then have to create a comic strip illustrating each of the steps a bill goes through to become a law. I've also included two different types of comic strips for students to choose from.
