This is a great math packet to use with the classic book, "How Big is a Foot?", by Rolf Myller. There are comprehension questions to answer as well as several foot projects!
Students must trace their foot, take measurements of the length, width at the widest part, and width at the heel and then create a class data table. Once the data is collected, students must find the data landmarks for the class.
Students can also try to create four famous feet using measurement tools and construction paper (I have included the measurements of four famous feet)!
There is also a fact sheet about the measure of a foot and how it came to be 12 inches as a standard measure.
This packet is a great way for intermediate students to explore the natural and standard measure of the foot!
