Handouts include diagrams of 3 branches of government and how a bill travels through the house of representatives, the Senate, and finally to the President.
Part I: Students are prompted to place steps of how bill becomes a law in sequential order.
Part II: Students are asked to complete critical thinking questions.
Part III (Closure): Students are asked to complete a T chart categorizing advantages and disadvantages of the current system. Then students are asked to explain whether they believe the current system should be reformed.
