A PRINTABLE STUDENT ANSWER DOCUMENT is also provided to assist with student accountability -- as teachers, we are well aware that when some students are working in less structured environments such as centers or small groups, accountability pieces can be useful tools to assist us as we evaluate student productivity. Student answer documents also provide an organizational format for students who are spatially challenged and cannot format their work into an organized unit.
Student answer documents are also excellent to have because they are tangible, authentic examples of student work. When you need documentation or examples of student work often required for math portfolios, IEPs, AIPs, Parent-Teacher conferences, special education placement conferences, etc., you need not worry because you already have what you need.
DIFFERENTIATED ASSIGNMENTS MADE PAINLESS and QUICK!
Student answer documents are also convenient tools to use when making differentiated assignments. You can easily assign specific task cards by circling the numbered workspaces of the task card problems you want the student to complete.
**Answer Keys are provided in 2 formats:
1. as individual task cards -if student self-checking is preferred
2. OR in a traditional answer key that is teacher friendly when grading work assignments.
These task cards are flexible resources and can be used in many ways such as:
--number work for math centers
--number work for small collaborative groups
--whiteboard work for whole class assignments
--whiteboard work during transitions
--meaningful engagement and practice for early finishers
--math journal entries
You can never have too many of these kinds of resources to reinforce skills- especially on days when regular classroom routines are disrupted by activities such as school picture day, assemblies, etc.
My students LOVE these types of activities- and SO DO I!
