A complement to Candace Fleming's "Muncha! Muncha! Muncha!"
This short story is designed to target the following speech/language objectives:
*Regular/Irregular Past Tense (e.g., hopped, crawled, swam, snuck)
*Prepositions (e.g., over, under, in)
*Pronouns (e.g., they)
*Attributes (e.g., small, tall, huge)
*S-blends (e.g., spring, scratch, splash, stop)
*Answering "How" questions
My preschoolers have been loving reading "Muncha! Muncha! Muncha!" as part of our garden theme and have been responding so well to this simplified, repetitive story. I even printed a smaller black and white copy for home.
I hope your students find this as fun and helpful as we have! And if you work with bilingual students check out my Spanish version!
