I have two teenage daughters and I am often frustrated with their iPhones because instead of having an easier way to communicate, phones have been a barrier to our communication. Their phones are attached to their hips so why don’t they immediately respond to my texts or answer my calls? Phones can be wonderful; I think?
I decided to join the world of technology and get on board with my teenagers. I send them one daily tip to help them learn something, to let them know I care and to stay connected. At first, my girls thought this was a dumb idea, but now they look forward to their daily tip and they might even learn something. I told them they can’t “unsubscribe”. Ha! A little preachy, but I’m their mom.
These tips could also be used in a classroom as a daily life skill reminder. :)
