I searched around and couldn't find what I was looking for. So, I drew up and made one of my own. I decided to let this one go for my first project to share. This download has the emotions angry, sad, happy, and surprised. You can cut and laminate together as one emotion or do the eyes and mouths separately. You may or may not have different combinations. Such as the frown for sad, could be used upside down as happy. Feel free to experiment with your own ideas.
Today I used them and it was fun.
We mixed surprised mouth with happy eyes and got "sleepy".
We also mixed sad eyes with angry mouth and got "scared" or "afraid". I made a little envelope and stuck it to the back of the face and the kids had fun. We sang, "head shoulders knees and toes" and "If you're happy and you know it".
I teach esl in Taiwan and plan to use it teaching emotions. I can tell the children. "She feels sad today." Have them pick out the eyes and mouth and see how she looks. The student can repeat. If you have more advanced students you can have some flashcards with the words, let them read and then have them add the mouth and eyes, and last have them say the sentence, "She feels sad today."
