This basic graphic organizer is the perfect assessment to use with the fabulously inspirational NPR How I Built This podcast.
The podcast host, Guy Raz, interviews various entrepreneurs about how they built their companies. Each episode includes background information about the person, what inspires them, and the ups and downs of their career.
This graphic organizer is perfect for giving students free choice in what they listen to. The podcast covers many diverse topics and people so all students can find something they are interested and passionate about: sports, fashion, music, business, and more!
Culminating Activity: Hang up student work for an inspirational bulletin board full of ordinary people who accomplished extraordinary things! I have mine do a gallery walk to look for common themes in order to come up with one general theme for How I Built This.
Can be assigned in class or as something they work on on their own.
*Most episodes are clean, but a few include a swear word or two. I have yet to hear any serious foul language on these episodes. This is an NPR program so all episodes are professionally done and highly engaging.
This graphic organizer is part of a Mega Podcast bundle I have in my store.
