This activity has students reflect and answer questions on how they learn best. Then, they display their answers visually by labeling and coloring their superhero figure specific ways. There are separate pages for boy (two choices) and girl superheros (two choices). Finally, the students draw pictures of the tools that helps them master the learning in the "thought bubbles".
The student product visually displays to the teacher and student how the student learns best. The superheros may be displayed on the wall for teacher and student reference.
Specifically, the questions ask how the student works best in class (alone, with a partner, or in a small group) and how they learn new information best (taking notes, discussing, making a visual, watching a video, or reading text). The survey also asks the students to choose two specific tools that helps them improve their understanding (reading, using technology, hands-on materials, working with others or alone, or watching videos).
