Kagan Cooperative Learning is a type of instruction that utilizes set structures to better engage all students in the class. This PDF is my documentation of how I use Kagan in my 5th and 6th grade music classes. I give several examples and pictures of how I use it. I also include several PowerPoint slide examples that I use in my classroom. These examples are pictures of the slides; teachers will need to make their own slides.
With this document, music teachers will be able to find ideas that will work in teaching a variety of musical concepts with a wide range of ages.
Note: knowledge of Kagan structures is not necessary to using the information presented in this document. However, I strongly encourage all teachers to take a Kagan course to better their skills in using the structures that I present.
