Product Description
Use this mini lesson to supplement a unit on time, minutes and seconds.

* Set up the stations:
Write your name - paper with pencils
Jumping Jacks - space to move around
Unifx Cubes - table space with unifix cubes or blocks that interlock
Sing - a table with chairs

* Review the math stations with students, what will they do at each station?
Write your name - write you name (first and last) as many times as you can before the timer goes off.
Jumping Jacks - do jumping jacks until the timer goes off (demonstrate how to do a proper jumping jack).
Unifix cubes - connect as many cubes as you can before the timer goes off.
Sing "happy birthday" - sing happy birthday out loud as a group as many times as you can before the timer goes off.

* Review sheet - Have students predict how many times they will be able to complete an activity.

* Complete activity, remember to set the timer for one minute.

* Have students fill in the actual amount of times they were able to complete the activity.
