How Many Ears on a Kangaroo? Sounds pretty silly, doesn't it? My 2nd graders thought so too, as they created tables to show how many ears are on more than 1 kangaroo! This recording sheet comes with picture manipulatives of owls, hands, stars, bears, bicycles, and kangaroos to help children visualize and fill in a table with intervals.
Once finished, ask the children to think of an object of their own and create a table for it. Examples might be: legs on chairs, tires on cars, fins on dolphins, crayons in boxes, shoes on horses, etc.
A great way to introduce multiplication, too!
