Product Description
This resource helps students practice solving How many more? and How many less? questions in math. Students at different ability levels will solve these problems in different ways which may include: comparing counters or cubes, drawing dots and comparing, counting on from one number to the next, or using subtraction equations to find the difference.

The 8 activities included in this pack are:
- How many more to get to 10? This page uses pictures and requires students to count on to get to 10.
- How many more to get to 10? This page uses numbers and requires students to count on to get to 10.
-How Many More? This page shows two dominoes and asks students to circle the one with the greater amount of dots. Students then determine how many more this domino has from the other domino.
-How Many Less? This page shows two dominoes and asks students to circle the one with the lesser amount of dots. Students then determine how many less this domino has from the other domino. I have included two forms of this sheet one using the term "less" and the other using the term "fewer"
-How Many to 10 Circle- This page helps students practice finding how many more to make ten.
-Challenge Addition- On this page, students problem solve to use all their number tiles to fill in addition problems. They will find more than one correct answer!
-Challenge Subtraction- On this page, students problem solve to use all their number tiles to fill in subtraction problems. They will find more than one correct answer!
-Addition to 10 Fill In- Students complete addition sentences by filling in sums or addends for each problem.

I use number tiles in my classroom every Tuesday as one of my guided math stations. I enjoy using them because they are low prep and fun for my students. I can have students self-check with the answer key or I can have them walk over to the table where I can quickly record the score they earned as I am working with a group. I place these sheets into page protectors so that students can easily show their work without wasting paper. Students can also cut out number tiles and glue them to the page as a worksheet.

Set Up:
-Laminate and cut out the number tiles I have included or use plastic number tiles 0-9. I like to keep my number tiles in sets so that students can grab a zip lock bag and get started.
-Place recording sheets into page protectors if desired. I print two activities on one paper front and back so that fast finishers have an additional challenge. (I have a student do this job weekly so it is even less prep work for me!)
