Three identification/sorting activities are included that are great for center activities and/or as an assessment.
1. The first worksheet - Students will read ten "school" words and determine how many syllables each word has. The students then color in the same amount of shapes as syllables.
2. The second worksheet - Students will read twenty "reading" words. Each word is written in a box. Students read the words and determine how many syllables each word has. They then color in the box using the color code.
3. Sorting activity - Students will read 18 words about sports/physical activities. They will then decide if the word has 1, 2, or 3 syllables.
