What educators are saying

This has been such a great hands-on activity to teach decomposing numbers! My students have been struggling with the concept, but this activity has kept them engaged!

Description

This packet includes activity sheets for decomposing numbers 3-9! The students will use red/yellow counters to flip and model all the ways to make each number, record their results, and create a number sentence for each one! Each numbered activity sheet also comes with a checklist for the students to use to make sure they do not build the same number sentence twice.

This packet includes printable counters that you can make yourself if you don't have any in your classroom to use!

{IMPORTANT NOTE: The activity sheets are PDFs of LEGAL-SIZED paper, so before printing, you will need to go to Print, then Properties, click on Page Setup, and then change the page size to "legal".}
