This PPT goes with the Aims 6th grade Life Science Curriculum
This PowerPoint introduces how metamorphic rocks are formed and briefly compares them to other rocks. It explains WHY metamorphic rocks look the way they do (with stripes, they are formed over time). It includes a brief lab that can be used to model how metamorphic rocks are formed using Play dough or clay. I have used this PowerPoint presentation with my Special Education students in 6th grade to make the information easy and understandable. The PowerPoint is concise and easy to understand with pictures and bright colors.
