Students apply proportions and customary conversions to silly scenarios involving packaging products in gallon containers... except these products aren't USUALLY packaged that way at all!
Which do YOU think will be most expensive... a gallon of cologne? a gallon of cough syrup? Looks like you need to set up and solve some proportions! Print for photocopies, or consider using the PDF to annotate if you have access to iPads!

*A personal side note*
I created the original "How Much Per Gallon?" task at the start of my teaching career. I literally had to cut and paste products from the newspaper to create the task! I have been meaning to update this activity, because students have enjoyed it over the years, so here is the new 2012 version as well!
