This animated powerpoint presentation supports all teachers, regardless of their musical abilities, who are teaching music to primary-aged children.
This product was created to cover the Ontario music curriculum for:
- express personal responses to musical performances in a variety of ways
- identify reasons why people make music in their daily lives and describe contexts in which they make music
- identify, through listening, a variety of musical forms or pieces from different communities, times, and places
HOW MUSIC IS USED
is a 4-part powerpoint presentation that is ready to go. All you need to do is print copies of the final 2 pages which are activities for children to complete.
You will need approximately 40 to 50 minutes for each part of the lesson.
You will need a computer that projects onto a screen, whiteboard or Smartboard.
Once purchased, please preview the entire PowerPoint presentation to ensure you know where the animations are and how each of the 4-part lessons flow. There are times when you won’t want your children to see YouTube videos as the focus is on listening. It has been indicated where to turn the projection off.
The presentation is editable should you wish to change anything.
I have made time allowance suggestions.
The final 2 slides in the presentation are to print as activities to do with your students so they can show their understanding.
Any comments for changes can be directed to email@example.com.
