PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This resource is a way to frame information as students begin to investigate and analyze the sources the news uses. I recommend using this resource alongside my News Literacy Unit.

This PowerPoint provides information around how to judge the reliability of the sources in the news. It does not include the video clips themselves, as I do not have the rights to these clips. Also, you will need to find clips that are relevant and interesting to your own group of students and that you will be able to access at your school. I recommend inserting the links to these video clips right into the PowerPoint to make it easier for you.

Questions at the end can be used for discussion, writing, or my favorite: discussion that leads to writing.
