This is packet designed for use with the book How Rocket Learned to Read . The book is written and illustrated by Tad Hills. This book is about a bird who teaches school during the warm weather months. Her student is a dog named Rocket and he learns to read, then practices his skills when the bird migrates during the winter.
The packet covers language arts concepts including sequencing, setting, character analysis, fiction and nonfiction, comprehension, and the four seasons. There is a section of work with the words bird, dog, fall, learn, read, spring, summer, winter.
I hope that you will enjoy reading this book and using these printables as much as my students and I do.
