Product Description
This is one of two skits I use in learning about the origins of the Great Age of Exploration in Europe. The other skit is titled:

The Great Age of Exploration - The Crusades and Trade with the East! A Play. It is also on the TPT site.

***This is a light-hearted and fun way to learn about the revival of towns and trade in Europe in helping bring about the Great Age of Exploration (one day) and the decline of Feudalism. The black death plays a part in this, too.

This is meant to be an enhancement to any lesson on the origins of the Great Age of Exploration and/or the decline of Feudalism. The skit is for 4-5 students (one can be a narrator).

We use about 15 minutes of class time for the skit, plus 5-10 minutes of debriefing. There are different ways to debrief the skit. What I do is have all of the students return to their seats and journal for five minutes on what they just learned from the skit. I give them a chance to ask questions, too.

Please check out the preview. If you like this then you may like other plays, skits, re-enactments or simulations that I have on my TPT site.

Enjoy and tell me what you think after you use it with your students!
