I created this simple "how to" booklet for my kindergarten classes because they really enjoyed making mini-books. There are four PDFs in this freebie. Each PDF has numbers so that students can clearly indicate order, up to seven different steps. There are lines at the top of the page for adding sequence words, such as "first", "next", "then", and "last". Two PDFs have lines for students who wish to add words. Two PDFs have no lines and more space for drawings.
Students can first draw pictures and add words to tell the steps necessary to make a sandwich or build a snowman or any process they wish! It's completely up to them on how to design their book.
Then, they can cut along the dotted lines and (with help) staple the pages together to make a mini book. This is perfect for Writing Workshop. My kids and I practiced making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with paper first, and then we created the books afterward.
