I love to use my read aloud stories in my Reading lessons. I was finding that some students were enjoying the story (that's the point- right?) but they were not putting much effort into keeping track of the character names or details.
I put together organizers for all of my read aloud stories to help my students organize their thoughts, without taking away from the joy of listening to the story.
I am pretty low-key with these organizers. I let the students choose to write what THEY feel is important. I also let them color while they listen.
There are so many ways you can use this organizer in your classroom. This Power Point file is editable so make it your own!
This sale is for one organizer for the book, How To Steal a Dog, by Barbara O'Connor.
