Product Description
This is a relatively short exercise, taking maybe one class period with the rest for homework. The purpose of this assignment is to start introducing how to include quotes in student's writing with the intention that when they are writing papers using evidence, they will be able to lead in to quotes in different ways.

The directions ask students to provide the necessary quotations in dialogue taken from The Hunger Games and include commas where appropriate. It then asks students to re-write quotes from people into sentences while approaching the lead ins differently. (Using "that" or "said") It also asks students to use ellipses correctly when shortening a long quote and taking portions of the quote to place directly into their sentences.
