How To Guides are so helpful to give students the independence they need to be successful in math class. There are so many ways to show the distributive property and this guide will walk students step by step through the process of taking a division sentence with a larger dividend and breaking it up into two smaller math sentences. With this guide, students have the steps to walk them through, a visual, and the way to represent it algebraically.

You can also use this as a poster in your classroom to hang up for all students to see. And parents love when I send these home so they can see the strategies we are using in class!
