This is an excellent prompt and brainstorming tool to help teach your students about sequencing in writing. Students choose a food they make or have watched a family member make (can be something as easy as peanut butter and jelly!), and develop a narrative over how to make this food. The brainstorming template guides their thoughts and even assists them with transitioning words to make their piece flow. My students loved this assignment, and I realized I had some very good cooks in class!
