How We Express Ourselves Concepts Based Assessment
This summative assessment task follows the unit of inquiry into How We Express Ourselves. The assessment tasks draws on conceptual questioning and higher order thinking. This resource is fully editable, as each HWEO inquiry will be unique in different schools and within different classrooms.
Learning Engagement 1:
The first section of this assessment task provides each PYP Concept with questions to generate student thinking. The students choose 2 questions from each PYP Concept to explore, research and demonstrate their knowledge of.
Learning Engagement 2:
Students reflect on the artworks they have created during this inquiry and discuss the different mediums (photography, painting etc.) they used to express themselves.
Explaining how they were thinking like an artist during this inquiry.
Learning Engagement 3:
Working with a classmate students ask their peers to answer 4 questions chosen from the PYP Concept list, choosing only one question from each concept.
