How We Get Home Clip Charts, Crowns and Badges.
First Day of School Project | Meet the Teacher Project | Informal Assessment
As I recalled my days assisting with beginning of the year kindergarten and first grade dismissal I remembered the confusion and tears that often ensued. I wanted to create something to help this transition go smoothly.
The basic components of this product are: clip charts, crowns and cut and paste pieces. You can combine any of the components or use them individually depending on the needs and make-up of your class. The color crowns and clip charts are color coordinated.
There are 2 Clip Charts included. One is “How We Get Home” the other is “Which Bus Do I Ride?” with places for bus numbers to be filled in.
The “How We Get Home” crowns come in full color, partial color and black & white. The “Which Bus Do I Ride?” crowns are in color or black and white with spaces for bus numbers.
Cut and Paste Pieces
The cut and paste pieces fit the blank circles on the crowns. They are provided in color and black and white to be colored in by the students. The circles are designed to also be made into tags or necklaces by punching a hole in the top and adding yarn.
First Day of School Project
The black & white versions of the crowns and tags/necklaces make a great first day of school project. At the same time it can provide you with an informal assessment of your students coloring, cutting, glueing, name writing and direction following skills!
Meet The Teacher Project
The crowns and tags/necklaces also make a fun parent/child activity to be completed during Meet The Teacher Day!
