Use this graphing activity the first day of school while also finding out how your students get home from school!
To start the activity use the large icons, to prepare ahead of time, a class graph in a pocket chart. Write each child’s name next to the picture that shows how they are getting home, asks questions related to the graph that bring in students math skills of addition and subtraction, reading and interpreting data. This graphing activity is common-core aligned and suitable for grades K-2.
The printable bar graph is a great follow-up to the class graphing activity. Questions are also included for you! My students love doing this activity.
