This product is designed to be a fun student self-assessment for youth to discover what they know about their strengths. Before beginning a career preparation unit or program, this activity is useful as pretest. The guided questions help students see abilities and personal interests from from 3 strength categories. The assessment will engage the student to name their strengths and consider ways they can use their strengths on a day to day basis. The activity meets these objectives:

1) The student will name one or more of their strengths.

2) The student will name an environment or activity to use or develop one or more of their strengths.

3) The student will use the easy guide included in the pdf. to score their answers and to determine their self-awareness about their strengths.

There are no failures, only levels of self-awareness about strengths before considering personalized options for next steps develop for a career.

Activities like this one are important because many students without or with special needs aren't aware of their strengths and most importantly, they are aware how to use their strengths toward a career.
