This cute story is perfect for summer! It is written by Brigitte Luciani. It tells the story of a mother, Roxanne, who wants to take five things to the beach. However, each way she chooses means that she can't take one of her important five things.
There are parts for four students. The word ALL is included so that students read in unison at times and, therefore, continue to pay attention to the script.
Reader labels are included if you wish to have the students perform this Reader's Theater. I always copy mine onto cardstock. If I want to make a necklace, I hole-punch each one at the top and lace with yarn. To make headbands, I simply staple them onto long strips of construction paper.
I love Reader's Theaters and find that almost every student does, too. They are a wonderful way to promote reading fluency, speaking fluency, increase vocabulary, and generate enthusiasm for reading.
AR Book Level is 2.2 Test #41009
