Muscles work in pairs (relaxing and contracting) to move your bones. Muscles can only pull on bones to make them move. These are somewhat hard concepts for students to grasp. With this hands-on activity, students model how muscles work in pairs to contract and relax to pull on your bones to make them move.
Included is the student handout, answer key, templates for the model (I recommend printing them on cardstock so when pulled, it actually moves up and down instead of pulling upward off the page), and the powerpoint with picture instructions how to put the model together.
