4 pages of different pocket chart headings, “How am I feeling?”
6 pages of 12 feelings heading cards for pocket chart
How this activity works:
Cut and paste heading, “How am I feeling?” and place at the top of a pocket chart.
Cut and laminate feeling cards and place under the heading in a straight row.
Have name cards or picture cards in random order on the floor in front of the pocket chart. Call on a student, they come up and find their name card or picture card. In a full sentence they say or repeat, “I feel (feeling)today!” and place their name or picture card under that feeling.
Continue until all the children identified and graphed their feelings. Discuss which feeling had the most/least/same.
Place in reading center for the fun to continue!
