Do you want to put work stations into your classroom? Do you want time for children to practice skills after assessment? Do you need time to work with small groups?
All of the above can happen if you put work stations into place in your classroom.
Start small! Make multiple copies of one or two games to start.
Remember to use games/manipulatives you have used during a lesson so children are familiar with them.
Confused on what concepts to begin? Think of conecpts/Big Ideas that remain constant such as: Number sense and number operations, Geometry and shapes, Measurement, Data, and Numbers and algebraic thinking.
Management can seem overwhelming at the start. But, by having all students playing games you have modeled and setting expectations like the slides with the anchor charts I have made, things should fall into place.
