Help students identify their emotions by having them reflect on their day. With this activity students must reflect on how they are feeling, and draw a face or "emoji" to show what emotion they have in that moment. This activity is a great discussion opener, and allows the teacher/staff to gauge how the child is doing. Through this activity one is able to ask the child follow up questions, which also helps to build rapport between the student and adults. This can be a great morning arrival activity, check-in and/or check-out activity, and is a great way to introduce social emotional learning with your students.
