How did the press increase peoples' fascination with Jack the Ripper in 1888?

Description
The Whitechapel Murders in London in 1888 have long fascinated the public and historians alike. When Jack the Ripper murdered five women on the streets of Victorian London it also witnessed the first boom in tabloid publishing.
This worksheet contains a starter activity comparing a tabloid and broadsheet report of the capture of Saddam Hussain where the students have to find the differences between the two types of newspaper.
The main sheet is one side long and contains 5 questions about the newspaper reports of the Jack the Ripper Murders.
This fits well with a topic on Victorian History. I have many more resources on the Whitechapel murders that I will be adding soon.
