This lesson will teach your kids the differences between a moon and a star. It will discuss topics such as moon and star formation, natural light from stars, versus reflective light from the Moon, and even proximity and the role that plays in our view of the Moon and the stars.
This Product includes a 16 slide animated power point that will illustrate great visuals for your students such as the giant impact theory, or the birth of a star. It also includes a one page, 5 E style lesson plan, and two foldables that you can have your students use throughout the lesson to illustrate and take notes about the Moon, a star, or if you choose to use the tri-fold foldable, a planet as well! Finally, a math integrated center activity/worksheet is included where students will use their multiplication skills to compute the answers. If they are not there yet in math, you may want to have them work on calculator skills instead.
Your students will really love this lesson and powerpoint, and they will gain a rich understanding of the differences between the Moon and a star.
