Product Description
YouTube clip: Play the prepared dove campaign YouTube clip. Once the YouTube clip is complete hand the students the “Dove Reflection” worksheet that goes along with it. Allow the students 5-7 minutes to complete the worksheet. Once the students are finished, discuss the questions as a class.

Lecture: Next, explain to the students their next assignment. The students will use newspapers and magazines to cut up ads and develop a poster. The poster will be as many ads as the student can find of advertisements that promise to “enhance” your beauty or make you better looking. The students will have the rest of class to work on this. Along with the poster will be a one page paper explaining their poster. The point of the poster project is to show the students that almost every advertisement directed toward beauty promises to enhance your life in some way and if you have that product you will be satisfied. But in reality not all those products can make you beautiful or your life easier and it is just a way to make you feel worse about yourself in order to make you buy the product. No single product will solve life’s problems.
