Breakout boxes are a great way to bring your class together - and what better time than Christmas to have your students working together to solve problems!
This Breakout has been used in my 4th grade class as we celebrate "GRINCH DAY!" before we leave for Winter Break. Our whole day revolves around that mean old Grinch & my students love treating each other with kindness and helping each other all day to make that Grinch go away! It's my favorite way to end our first semester together.
This Breakout is based solely around working together and does not have any standards or curriculum tied to it - however, it would not be hard for you to add!
All of the materials and directions needed to plan and execute this Breakout are laid out in the file. If you have any questions or need help with a clue, please contact me & I would be happy to help!
I know your kids will love this activity that encourages them to problem solve with critical thinking and close reading!
