The goal of the lesson is to teach students how to paraphrase evidence they found and logically connect it to their thesis to convince the reader their claim is accurate and well supported. Once students have found historical evidence, the second step is for them to explain, describe and unravel it's significance; this lesson provides a foundation for students to learn how to do this.
