This recording sheet is a great addition to one of my favorite St. Patrick's Day activities, Leprechaun Trap building! It is a great cooperative activity that students can use their creativity, leadership skills, language skills, and sequencing to create a leprechaun trap. Students will use this recording sheet to detail the steps they took for the building process. In Kindergarten, this may be done whole group (steps will be very vague) and students will record what is decided on as a whole group. For example,
First, make a plan.
Next, get the supplies.
Then, build a trap.
Last, add the bait.
Students will write on the left side of the organizer, and illustrate the steps on the right side.
This activity can be differentiated to 1st or 2nd grade (students will work more independently/in groups to do their sequence)
