The purpose of this packet is to give a basic introduction to citing sources for elementary students in Kindergarten, First, and Second grade. The intention is to plant seeds for responsible learners who will let others know where the information was found rather than write research papers as if the thoughts were their own.
This covers one important piece of research...citing sources properly. For K-2, it will not be as advanced and technical like it is for older students and college, but it will provide the foundation to help students easily explain where they learned things by giving credit to the source they learned it from.
