Step-by-step instructions for how to draw these squishy little buddies. Pips are wonderful as a quick incentive (in place of the traditional "smiley") drawn on students' papers. As a sub I would often draw a basic pip on the board and allow the class to customize him for a reward as the day went on. If, for example, they walked back from the cafeteria silently, the class might earn the pip a hat/top hat/fedora. To encourage progress for students who dallied during classwork, I would draw a basic pip and add an accessory as the student completed new sections of the worksheet. You'll learn quickly what your students will respond to. The beauty of pips is they're often easy enough for the students themselves to draw, heightening the reward. Enjoy!
