How to Excel in School

How to Excel in School is a resource for teaching or reminding students of good educational habits. One way to engage students is to have them read these tips and put a star next to the ones they already do and an x next to ones they disagree with. Then discuss the tips. Listen more than you speak. It will give you insight into your students and help you find ways to encourage them to excel in school. Be sure to praise them for the strategies they are already using. Encourage them to give further tips to their peers as to how they use similar strategies. The four main points on “How to Excel in School” are the four rules of my classroom and tutoring business.
