Product Description
This product contains a step-by-step outline that will guide your students through the process of writing a procedural text about how to make a s'more. The rough draft outline is set up to cater to classrooms that incorporate thinking maps, the flow map in particular as you can simply add the arrows to the paper if you would like. The students can then conference with you with their rough draft and then begin transferring their work onto the final draft paper that is included.

The rough draft includes a designated spot for an introduction, 7 steps (the first one being allowed for gathering ingredients), and a conclusion.

My students absolutely love this topic and it really produces some incredible pieces that have the potential to be rich in vocabulary. I used the s'mores scene from "The Sandlot" to introduce this assignment and they went bonkers over how funny it was. We talked about what Ham did well and what he could have explained better. It was a hit. Enjoy this assignment with your students!
