Everyone likes to make a snowman!! This is an exciting introduction to the Research Process for your Kindergarten-2nd grade students. During an excellent snow year, my husband and I went outside and made an awesome snowman following the steps the problem solving process: Plan, Do, Review. We ran into problems to solve along the way, too!
Use this PowerPoint to introduce your students to the process. At the end of the lesson, let them make their own snowmen!
I've had students make snowmen on a computer drawing program, with paper and glue, and on black paper with chalks. I found snowman parts to print with a simple Google search and cut them out for my special education students to make a snowman. They still got to plan because they had to choose the parts and how to glue them on. So many ways to make a snowman!
I left it editable if you want to add your own twist to the presentation!
