This worksheet can be used after introducing that ten ones make a bundle (group of ten)
The students have to understand the concept of place value.
They will then understand that a bundle is a group of ten and at times will have ones left over.

The AZ Standard: 1.NBT.B2 a-b Understand that the two digits of a two-digit number represent groups of tens and ones.
a. Ten can be thought of as a group of ten ones- called a "ten"
b. The numbers from 11 to 19 are composed of a ten and one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine ones.

Activity: Students will be bundling objects of ten ones into a group of ten and figuring out how many ones are left.



Learning Target: I can identify a bundle of ten ones as a "ten".
Students are understanding the place value of ones and tens.
