I have worked with many student teachers and first year teachers over my 20 career. I've always made it a point to sit down with each of them and show them our salary schedule so they can see roughly how much they will earn over their career in public education. The forms provided in this resource are simply meant to be used as a guide, and now I'm offering them to you so you can use them with your student teacher or other first year teachers in your building. Or, of course feel free to use it yourself if you need a tool to help budget your own money.
I'm not a certified financial planner, nor do I claim to be an expert in finance.
I just know that none of this was taught to me in my education courses going through college, and I honestly think it would have been useful.
