For a middle school or beginning high school choral student, choral scores can be difficult to follow. Rather than faulting students for not following along in their music, let's teach them what they do not already know!
This packet contains 6 pages: the first page is a lesson on staff systems (which helps students to understand how to find their voice part in a octavo full of notes, words, and lines, OH MY!), the second three are examples from "real" choral music, and finally, the last two pages are a worksheet with three questions based on a section of music. All music selections are taken from the Choral Public Domain Library, and do not infringe on copyright privileges.
This packet is ready for immediate use in the classroom. PDF format.
