Over the years I have found it increasingly difficult to find novel studies that are not just comprehension based. We all need our students delving deeper into the text they are reading in order to have meaningful conversations and discussions, along with being able to write about what they are reading.
The questions in this novel study can be used as discussion prompts or journal entries. These are student tested questions that I use in the library during whole class novel studies or with literature circle groups.
